It's difficult for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The top summits have already been conquered.

This is the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the record chasers, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it's been a challenging time because it seemed my form was missing at all," stated Healy.

"However when you enter the playing area, your competitive nature kick in and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her major advantage - and a priceless quality in replacing famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's motivation.

One run resulted off the bowler's initial ball and from that point the batsman was underway.

"A chance to take the field and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was out Australia needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we know we can succeed."

These statements will be the final thing competing nations at this championship need to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this victory coming after success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the first time at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she afterwards commented she wished she had played through the pain.

But while she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have pushed back thoughts of retirement, this tournament is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as leader.

Success in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
