Three Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.
These three athletes have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the last year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The finalists were announced live on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on the 18th of December.
The ceremony will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being nominated for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Luke Littler
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
The year started for Littler in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
